The Gold Label 814e features Taylor's new Super Auditorium body shape, which has a similar silhouette to their tried and true Grand Auditorium. It has slightly wider contours that give the guitar an extra bit of oomph in the low end and a dash more volume.
The Gold Label 814e features Taylor’s new Super Auditorium body shape, which has a similar silhouette to their tried and true Grand Auditorium. It has slightly wider contours that give the guitar an extra bit of oomph in the low end and a dash more volume. Under the hood, it has the newly developed fanned V-Class bracing variant, which generates more projection while retaining the focus and balance we have come to expect from Taylor guitars. The back and sides on this example are Honduran Rosewood and the top is a specially roasted Sitka spruce top.
Adding to the package of innovations is a new long-tenon neck joint that improves the transfer of vibration to boost resonance while also improving adjustability. Visually, the Gold Label 814e is dressed to impress with antique chrome Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons, Continental inlays, a new pickguard design, grained ivoroid edge trim and a full-body gloss finish. This model includes LR Baggs Element VTC electronics for warm, balanced amplified sound and ships with a deluxe hardshell case featuring a British Cocoa exterior.
