This is a P-90 that fits into a humbucker cavity; no hassling or re-cutting necessary. With a fatter tone than a Strat or Tele single coil, this P-90 has a more present mid-range than a humbucker. However, with Alnico V magnets in the neck and Alnico VI magnets in the bridge, this pickup doesn’t compromise the power a hot humbucker will carry.
